Hey, I loved the post. I recently celebrated my 6 year anniversary of my first Botox appointment date and I am still unbelievably satisfied with my skin. I'm sure the materials are improving by the day, as well. Anyway, keep up the excellent work!

That is a great question- the answer is Yes, I do give oral antibiotics after surgery. Avoiding infection is of paramount importance. Patients are given intravenous antibiotics during the breast augmentation surgery, and the breast implant itself is soaked in antibiotic before placing it into the pocket behind the breast. Additionally, the pocket itself is irrigated with antibiotic solution both before and after placement of the breast implant. After the surgery, patients are on antibiotics for about a week as yet another layer of protection against infection.
In the next few days, we will be adding a lot of information to this website about breast augmentation- be sure to watch for it!

[...] sbplasticsurgeon created an interesting post today on BREAST RECONSTRUCTION- PRE-OPERATIVE ASSESSMENT AND EDUCATIONHere’s a short outlineIn many areas of medicine, especially surgery, a given diagnosis leads to a specific therapy, which hopefully leads to a predictable clinical outcome. If Mary’s gallbladder is inflamed and full of stones, it needs to come out. … [...]
